Ted Lasso Season 2 Episode 1: A Night of Surprises

On the other side of town, Sam Obisanya (Toheeb Jimoh) finds Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) sitting on his doorstep, having been inspired by his protest. Edwin Akufo-Boateng, a wealthy businessman from Ghana, is looking to buy Raja Casablanca in Morocco and fill the team with African players who are making names for themselves globally.

Sam is intrigued by Edwin's vision of creating a more ethical sports empire and is tempted by the offer despite his initial reservations about leaving Richmond. The two men visit a pop-up restaurant where they feast on West African cuisine, further solidifying their connection.

The episode ends with Sam being taken to a museum to see a piece of art by Nigerian mixed-media artist Kelechi Nwaneri, which Edwin has purchased to donate to a museum in Ghana. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for Sam and his potential involvement with Raja Casablanca.
